Tuesday, May 24, 2016– We start off the East Coast Swing Baseball Tour #1 in the historical city of Boston. Meet up with your tour hosts at our Boston hotel the afternoon of May 24, before heading out to Fenway Park for a game that evening. The Colorado Rockies are in town for an interleague match-up. You will have plenty of time to explore the Fenway Park neighborhood before the game and then head inside to experience the majestic history that Fenway offers.
Wednesday, May 25, 2016– Wednesday morning is the start of a special day as we make the journey through the rolling green hills of upstate New York into the quaint village of Cooperstown, NY. The travel is part of the aura as we make our way to the village where Abner Doubleday was credited with “inventing the game of baseball.” Although not entirely true (as you will learn at the Hall), the village of Cooperstown really is the perfect backdrop for the American pastime. You will have plenty of time to explore the three levels of the Hall of Fame and to take in as many exhibits as your heart wishes. There is also time to take a stroll through the small village with its many boutique shops, eateries, and galleries among its lake front location. Later that evening we will travel to Albany, NY to rest up before we head down to New York City and our prime mid-town Manhattan hotel for two nights.
Thursday, May 26, 2016– We leave beautiful upstate New York and head down to the Bronx for a Yankee Stadium Tour. There will be plenty of picture opportunities as our group will visit many behind the scenes area of this stadium that is home to so much baseball history. After the tour we will check in to our prime midtown Manhattan hotel, before heading back to Yankee Stadium that night to watch the Yankees host the Blue Jays.
Friday, May 27, 2016– Today is the day to take advantage of your premium hotel located right in the middle of Manhattan. You are a short walk, subway or cab ride away from just about anything that New York has to offer. The whole day is yours to do as you please. Visit the Statue of Liberty, take a carriage ride through Central Park, hang out in Times Square, pay your respects at the World Trade Center Memorial Site or do one of the many other things that this great city has to offer. Just make sure you are back in time to catch the Mets host the Dodgers at Citi Field that evening. After the game we will head back to our Manhattan hotel.
Saturday, May 28, 2016– After two nights in our midtown Manhattan hotel, we continue our East Coast Swing Baseball Tour as we travel down to Washington DC. On the journey to our nation’s capital, we will make a stop in Baltimore in order to tour Oriole Park at Camden Yards. This amazing ballpark truly changed the way baseball facilities were built and is still a picturesque sight located on the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. After the ballpark tour and time for lunch, we will continue on for the short final leg to Washington DC. After checking in to our hotel, we will head on over to Nationals Park and the final game of our tour as the St. Louis Cardinals are in town to visit the Washington Nationals.
Sunday, May 29, 2016– Check out of your hotel at your leisure or add a few more nights in order to extend your vacation in Washington DC. The choice is yours and in either case you will have many more destinations checked off of your baseball bucket list.
